Compared to a standard room thermostat (ON/OFF), which cannot fully communicate with the boiler and can only turn it on or off without setting the required power or water temperature, this advanced room thermostat (operating on the OPENTHERM protocol) allows the user to:
- The modulating room thermostat can not only turn on the boiler but can also determine the difference between the actual room temperature and the set point, allowing modulation of the boiler power according to the system's heating needs.
- Turning on/off and temperature changes are intelligently minimized, ensuring lower costs, more stable temperature, and greater comfort for the user. Climate control (with an outdoor sensor, which is ordered separately). The outdoor sensor measures and transmits the external temperature to the boiler's main PCB. Then, thanks to the climate control program, the central heating flow temperature is automatically adjusted according to outdoor climate conditions, ensuring maximum comfort in the shortest time.
- Parameters and values related to hot water are displayed and set.
- Parameters and values related to the central heating system (flow temperature, return temperature) are displayed and set.
- You can intuitively and quickly select a weekly schedule for both hot water and central heating by choosing one of three different modes (manual – comfort – economy).
- In addition, using the "Holiday" function, you can disable both hot water and room heating functions for a predetermined number of days (if enabled, only the anti-freeze function is guaranteed) to reduce gas consumption. Upon returning home, the "Holiday" function will automatically turn off and the previous setting will be restored.
- In case of a boiler failure: it displays error codes, making it easier to identify the cause of the boiler malfunction when calling the service department.
- To install the "Italtherm Net APP" kit, a smart remote control with a climate regulator is always required. The "Italtherm Net APP" kit allows you to remotely control central heating and hot water directly from your smartphone, ensuring maximum comfort and energy savings.
