By connecting this sensor and a "Thermolink" type room thermostat, the mentioned boilers can be controlled in an outdoor temperature-dependent manner. Outdoor temperature-dependent boiler control is a method where the temperature of the water leaving the boiler depends on the outdoor temperature. This dependency can be adjusted by selecting different outdoor temperature curves that are already stored in the boiler's memory.
