When showering, we may experience a shock from hot or cold water until we adjust it to the desired temperature. Adjusting mechanically can take several seconds. However, we can avoid this unpleasant start to showering by installing a thermostatic or self-regulating mixer. With such a mixer, the desired water temperature only needs to be set once - at all other times, you only need to adjust the water flow strength. Even if the flow is turned off briefly and then turned back on, the water temperature will not have changed.
