How is Franke Tectonite® made and from what?
Franke Tectonite® is an innovative patented material. Sinks made from it are modern and high-quality.
Franke is the only manufacturer that has developed and patented the next generation synthetic material Tectonite®
Franke has the most advanced technological knowledge and practical expertise (“know-how”), as they apply the latest manufacturing technologies while also conducting technological research on the material.
- SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound). A long glass fiber connection with polyester resin gives the sink strength and protects it from impacts and vibrations.
- 3rd generation casting mass coating (Powder In Mould Coating). The modern scratch-resistant surface PiMC ensures protection against UV rays, stains, and household chemicals.
- Unique material texture. The matte texture makes the sink easier to maintain. Additionally, it provides an innovative design.
Advantages of Tectonite® sinks
- High heat resistance. Withstands temperatures up to 300 °C for 10-15 seconds. Typically, an oven tray does not exceed a temperature of 230 °C. A sink made from Tectonite® material is resistant to hot pots.
- Impact resistant. The hardness of the material helps protect against accidents in the kitchen. Tests have shown that when various kitchen utensils fall, the sink remains undamaged.
- Scratch and defect resistant. The new composition of Tectonite® material, with glass particles on the surface, provides greater resistance to scratches and defects. The surface's abrasion resistance is significantly higher than that of other composite materials on the market.
- Convenient and easy cleaning. Due to the extremely smooth surface, which prevents absorption, FRANKE Tectonite® products are hygienic and easy to clean.

Advantages of the eccentric valve: this valve also performs the function of a coarse filter. It is convenient because its upper part is removable and has a plate shape. Additionally, the sink can be clogged and unclogged by turning the knob on the upper plane.
Note: The granite sink is sold without holes for the mixer and possible eccentric valve. This is done so that the customer can decide which side of the sink they plan to use. The hole for the sink needs to be punched when the sink is not yet installed or is installed in the countertop but not secured to it. The hole should only be punched from the good side of the sink at the location marked with a green sticker.
