When showering, we can experience a shock of hot or cold water if we do not regulate it to the required temperature. Adjusting mechanically can take several seconds. However, we can avoid this unpleasant start to showering by installing a thermostatic or self-regulating mixer. With such a mixer, the required water temperature only needs to be set once - at all other times, it will only be necessary to adjust the strength of the water flow. Even if the flow is turned off briefly and then turned back on, the water temperature will not have changed.
