The Brofer plate heat exchanger maintains efficiency in winter - up to 90%. The heat exchanger features an automatic by-pass function. This function prevents warm air from entering the room when it is not needed, for example, in summer. It is equipped with an electronic commutation fan (EC fan), which allows the heat exchanger to operate more quietly. Most models of Brofer heat exchangers are made from excellent sound-absorbing multilayer panels. These heat exchangers, known for their high heat recovery efficiency, can be installed horizontally or vertically. The plate, counterflow type heat exchanger is made of plastic, with a built-in condensate collection system. The devices come with a standard synthetic fiber filter with G4 efficiency, and higher-class filters can achieve F7 efficiency for clean air. The heat exchanger fan is equipped with EC motors (brushless).
Improved filtration quality
Healthy air is another important factor for well-being. Therefore, this device is equipped with next-generation filters that reduce dust levels in the heat exchanger and throughout the air distribution system. Various types of filters are available: G4, F7, carbon. For better air permeability and filtration, the filters have a pleated design. Filter maintenance is simple due to the automatic notification system. The device alerts when filters need to be changed.
Top fan technology
Quiet, energy-saving fan operation. The flow grid, scroll housing, and impeller ensure the best possible air flow. This guarantees not only very quiet operation but also exceptionally low energy consumption.
Moisture recovery
The enthalpy heat exchanger is similar to a standard plate heat exchanger, but its plates are made of a patented polymer membrane instead of plastic. The membrane structure allows only water vapor molecules to move from one side of the membrane to the other, which are significantly smaller than microbes or odor molecules. A comparison can be made to a high-quality moisture-permeable ski jacket, which allows water vapor to escape while preventing rain from entering.
The enthalpy heat exchanger combines the positive properties of rotary and plate heat exchangers: frost resistance, high efficiency, moisture recovery, and hygiene.
These moisture-recovering heat exchangers are highly efficient and at the same time significantly more frost-resistant than conventional plate heat exchangers (due to moisture recovery, no condensate forms in the heat exchanger, so there is nothing to freeze).
Thanks to the enthalpy function, much more moisture is retained during the winter months, making the indoor climate significantly more comfortable.
