In the production of Laufen toilets, the main components have always been natural raw materials: kaolinite, clay, feldspar, and quartz sand. These form the basis of this exceptionally durable and hard material. During a unique and long-lasting manufacturing process, these easily moldable materials are mixed, homogenized, and purified in Laufen factories. The resulting slip &ndash. the primary ceramic material &ndash. is poured into prepared plaster molds or shaped using a special casting method developed by Laufen.
The moldability and plasticity of these materials allow for the creation of various sanitary products. Dried and glazed blanks are fired in kilns where temperatures reach 1,240 °.C. At such extreme temperatures in the kiln, high-quality Laufen toilets become hard and durable.
The smooth and easy-to-clean ceramic surface meets the highest hygiene standards. The ceramics are light-resistant, versatile, and aesthetically pleasing, making this material the most popular choice for producing high-quality sanitary equipment.
