The secret of the “Uponor Ecoflex” insulated pipe system lies in the flexible yet sturdy pipe casing and the internal heat and water supply pipes made of cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xa), which are covered with several layers of polyethylene foam insulation. The pipe casings are made of impact-resistant polyethylene (PE-HD). Due to the special geometry of the casings, they have the required ring stiffness but can still be bent with a small bending radius. Therefore, they can be quickly laid around corners and various other obstacles. The internal PE-Xa pipe is particularly strong, resistant to corrosion and high temperatures. In addition, no deposits form in the Uponor PE-Xa pipe, and it does not crack due to point loads or stresses.
PE-Xa material is resistant even to aggressive environments, making these pipes long-lasting and therefore very economical. The insulation material is not only highly effective but also particularly resistant to moisture.
Uponor Ecoflex Quattro, Uponor Ecoflex Thermo Twin, Uponor Ecoflex Aqua, and Uponor Ecoflex Supra pipes can be laid up to 200 m in length without intermediate joints. Due to self-compensation, they do not require expansion compensation. “Uponor Ecoflex” pipes are lightweight, making them very convenient to work with. Uponor offers a complete range of accessories for the pipe systems, allowing for various tasks to be performed. No special tools are required when working with these pipes, and there is no need for heavy welding work, which significantly speeds up the work.
Pipes Uponor Ecoflex Quattro are designed to supply heating water and hot water for plumbing. The system consists of 4 PE-Xa internal pipes. PE-Xa pipes intended for heating water supply are also used in the Uponor Thermo pipe system.
The Uponor Ecoflex Thermo pipe system is most suitable for the circulation of heat supply water. These pipes have excellent thermal insulation and can circulate water at temperatures up to 95°C with a pressure of 6 bar. The expected service life of these pipes is at least 30 years; they are particularly suitable for local heat supply networks that can be economically operated for several decades.
