The EU-R-8b PLUS room thermostat is designed to work with Tech controllers: EU-L-8, EU-L-X, EU-L-4 WiFi, EU-L-9, and Sinum. The wireless room thermostat R-8b PLUS is a small and aesthetic device used to measure and regulate the temperature in a room equipped with underfloor or radiator heating. The sensor is intended for all TECH wireless heating control systems. The R-8b PLUS thermostat is powered by two AAA batteries and is available in two colors: white and black.
How do temperature sensors work?
Each R-8b PLUS room thermostat captures the temperature value in the room where it is installed and transmits this information to the wireless thermostat actuator controller. Based on this, the main controller controls the STT-230/2S actuators. If the room temperature is reached or higher, the actuators close. If the room is underheated, the actuators open.
Zone thermostat registration
To ensure accurate measurement results, it is advisable to install the room thermostat away from heat sources and to follow the registration process step by step in a specific zone. For this purpose, the parameter "room sensor" in the submenu of a specific zone is used. Only one temperature sensor can operate in each zone. If you attempt to register a wireless thermostat in a zone where another measuring device is operating, the first sensor will be deregistered, and the second thermostat will be registered.
Temperature measurement and editing
Once the thermostat registration process is completed in a specific zone, you can set the temperature value. You can set a different preset temperature for each room thermostat and predefine a weekly schedule. The value settings can be changed both on the thermostat and the main controller, as well as remotely via the eModul internet application, if the controller has internet control. Thanks to the straightforward parameter editing options, the room will always have a comfortable temperature, and in the absence of the user, its value can be reduced to lower heating costs.
It sends information about the current temperature and humidity to the console, which based on this controls the thermostat valves (opens when the room is heated and closes when the set room temperature is reached).
