The purpose of the heat exchanger is to transfer heat from the primary flow to the secondary flow through heat exchange plates, without mixing the flows.
The selection of the heat exchanger depends on the required thermal power, temperatures, and allowable pressure losses.
Brazed plate heat exchangers have been designed to operate at higher pressure and temperature.
Smaller dimensions of brazed plate heat exchangers result in more efficient heat exchange.
The latest generation of Alfa Laval copper-brazed plate heat exchangers – CB series, CB110-100M6 brazed plate heat exchanger – features smaller dimensions and higher thermal performance.
