The purpose of the heat exchanger is to transfer heat from the primary flow to the secondary flow through heat exchange plates, without mixing the flows.
The selection of the heat exchanger depends on the required thermal power, temperatures, and allowable pressure losses.
Soldered plate heat exchangers are designed to operate at higher pressure and temperature.
Smaller dimensions of soldered plate heat exchangers result in more efficient heat exchange.
The latest generation of Alfa Laval copper-soldered plate heat exchangers – CB series, CB110-40M6 soldered plate heat exchanger – features smaller dimensions and higher thermal performance.
