Product Description
The biocide AF 10 protects against the growth of bacteria and fungi in heating and cooling systems.
The biocide AF 10 should be used together with the protective agent "Protector F1" or the antifreeze agent "Alphi 11". This way, the system is protected from biological contamination and the formation of scale deposits and corrosion. The biocide AF 10 can be used to protect against fungal growth in cooling reservoirs and expansion vessels. AF 10 prevents the formation of gases caused by bacterial fermentation.
Technical Characteristics
Composition: chlorinated phenol biocide. Color: straw. Odor: mild. Appearance: clear liquid (diluted becomes cloudy/opaque). pH of concentrated product 6 – 7. pH of 1% solution 7.2.
Dosing and Method of Use
A 500 ml bottle is sufficient to disinfect a 200 l system. Before pouring into the system, the agent should be diluted with 2 – 5 liters of water. In a closed system, the agent is poured in through the most accessible location (e.g., a drained radiator, collector, etc.).
If the system is heavily contaminated (e.g., black water is flowing from the radiator), it is recommended to flush the entire system first. Then fill with clean water, add the corrosion and scale protection agent "Protector F1" and the biocide "AF 10".
If biological contaminants still accumulate in the system, it is recommended to refill the system with biocide AF 10 after a year, after flushing it first.
