“LS-X” is a silicone paste designed for sealing threaded pressure-bearing joints and external joints.
Physical properties
Color: milky white. Form: elastic paste. Smell: mild, vinegar. pH: <3. Density: 1.0 (20 °C).
Instructions for use
Before starting work, reduce the water pressure and keep it reduced until the sealant fully hardens. If necessary, drain the system.
The sealing area must be well cleaned. Squeeze the sealant into the required area directly from the tube. If a joint needs to be formed, use a knife moistened in soapy water. If sealing a large diameter pipe, the leak area can be "wrapped" with sealant-soaked bandage (medical gauze can be used). After squeezing out the required amount, immediately close the tube.
The sealant hardens on average after 1 hour. The hardening time depends on the thickness of the layer. The sealant will harden faster if the sealing area is sprayed with water.
Packaging, precautions
The sealant is packaged in 50 g tubes. Contains triethoxyoctylsilane (acetoxy group silicone). Irritates eyes and skin. When working, wear disposable vinyl gloves (permeation time <1 hour). After work, wash hands thoroughly. If it comes into contact with skin: wash well with soap and water. In case of skin irritation, consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children.
