Product Description
"Cleaner F3" is an effective cleaner for central heating systems. It helps remove deposits, limescale, and dirt from heating systems in various conditions. The cleaner helps restore the efficiency of the heating system and thus reduces heating costs. It also cleans the heat exchangers of boilers and eliminates noise. The cleaner is also suitable for flushing new heating systems before they are put into operation – it removes residues of flux, oils (the insides of new radiators and steel pipes are factory-coated with special oils), and other manufacturing residues that may occur in new systems.
Old and particularly dirty (with a lot of rust, sludge) heating systems are recommended to be cleaned only using special cleaning equipment - a cleaning machine and a magnetic filter. If the system is particularly dirty, it is recommended to use the "Powerflushing Cleaner F5".
To ensure the long-term efficient operation of the heating system, it is recommended to fill the flushed system with the corrosion and sludge inhibitor "Protector F1".
Carbon Footprint
The carbon footprint is the amount of CO2 gases emitted into the atmosphere due to the activities of an individual or organization.
The organization The Carbon Trust conducted an analysis of the carbon footprint of the "Cleaner F3" 500 ml product and granted the right to label this product with a special mark and publish the following information: “A typical household whose heating system has been flushed with the cleaner 'Fernox F3' and filled with the corrosion and sludge protection agent 'Fernox Protector F1' saves up to 15% of gas daily (during the heating season). Or, for clarity, emits 110 kg less carbon dioxide into the environment over one year.”
Technical Characteristics
Color: dark amber. Smell: mild. Form: liquid. pH of concentrated product 7.0 – 7.5. pH of ready-to-use 1% solution 7.5 – 7.8. Specific gravity 1.20 (20°C).
Dosing and Method of Use
0.5% solution. 500 ml of "Cleaner F3" concentrate is sufficient for 100 liters of heating system water.
If the heating system is heavily contaminated (with a lot of rust, dirt) or very large, it is recommended to use a 1% solution (1 l of cleaner:100 l of water) or to flush the system twice.
Turn off the boiler and drain all the water from the system. Rinse the system very well with clean water to remove any freely floating contaminants.
After rinsing, fill the system with fresh plain water and pour in the cleaner. This can be done through a radiator, collector, drain valve, boiler outlet, and similar or through any other suitable filling point.
When flushing new systems before they are put into operation, the cleaner "Cleaner F3" must circulate in the operating system for at least 1 hour. When flushing old systems, dirt deposits are also rinsed out in about 1 hour. However, to remove hardened deposits (iron oxides and sludge), it is recommended to leave the cleaner in a normally operating system for 7 - 14 days. If any part of a radiator still does not heat after 1 hour, close the valves of other radiators and allow circulation through the non-heating radiator. When the system is very dirty, the flushing may need to be repeated or the solution concentration increased.
After the recommended flushing time, drain the cleaner from the system and rinse the system at least 3 times (until the water is completely clear). It is very important to rinse in opposite directions to remove hardened deposits and pieces of contaminants. It is recommended to rinse each radiator separately.
It is recommended to fill the flushed system with the agent "Protector F1", which provides long-term protection against corrosion and sludge formation.
Precautions
The agent is not hazardous to health, but should be used responsibly. Do not mix with other chemicals, except for the specified Fernox products. Keep out of reach of children.
